All-on-4® Treatment Concept
At Dallas Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, use the All-on-4 treatment concept on patients who have lost a significant volume of their jawbone and are not eligible for a bone graft.
The All-on-4 treatment concept features the use of four dental implants to support a full set of prosthetic teeth. It is a great treatment option for people who have lost or damaged most of their teeth.
The All-on-4 treatment concept equips you with a strong set of prosthetic teeth. Elderly people might find a bone grafting procedure too agonizing for them. The four implants are placed on the front of the jaw, where the jawbone is always thick and strong. It offers strong anchorage for the implants.

As mentioned above, four implants are planted on each jaw. The procedure involves opening up your gums and screwing the implants into the jawbone. The anterior implants are placed straight to avoid pushing back on the sinus cavity, while the posterior implants are placed at an angle to avoid the mental nerve that’s below the lower jaw.
Bridges or dentures are then attached to implants. Our prosthetic teeth or implant supported dentures are perfectly modeled and often look like real teeth. We have accomplished dental surgeons who can conduct All-on-4 treatment with the highest standards possible. -
The All-on-4 treatment concept is preferred over ordinary dental implants for many reasons. First, the teeth implants are placed at the front of the jaw and allow you to attain a full-arch with the new teeth. This helps your mouth to keep its shape and your prosthetic teeth to appear natural. As natural as they appear, there are wide array of foods you can eat with some precautions.
The All-on-4 treatment is completed in a single appointment by our dental surgeons. It is a minor surgery that is conducted at our dental clinics. You will not have to leave the clinic without teeth and wait for the prosthetics to be modeled. You will have to have a pre-surgery appointment with our dentist so that they can ensure your prosthetics are ready on the day of the surgery.
In as much as the front jaw does not shrink rapidly, it still does shrink. Losing jawbone volume on the front jaw will cause your lips to collapse and look disfigured. The dental implants will ensure you do not lose your jawbone, and your mouth maintains its natural shape and appearance.
After the procedure, you end up with fully functional prosthetic teeth. Permanent prosthetic teeth attached to the implants are always strong, and you can eat and speak just like you used to. The teeth should last for a lifetime as well. Even if you get dentures instead of bridges, the dentures will not have to be adjusted as often as ordinary dentures have to.
The All-on-4 concept provides an option for people who would otherwise be ineligible for dental implants because of lack of jawbone. The four implants on one jaw can support a bridge or denture of between 10 and 14 teeth.
